For A Positive Change

My commitment as a socialpreneur extends to coaching design thinking and UX course for rural kids and students to empowering them to identify and address the right problems, instigating positive change in their lives and communities.

Tribal Children Design Thinking

Living with Nilgiri & Wayanad tribes transformed me. Immersed in culture, I learned, cooked, danced, and built bonds. But it went deeper - I wanted to empower their future.

Witnessing their daily ingenuity sparked a duty to equip their children. Coaching 60 students in essential skills solidified my belief in education's power to transform lives. Let's harness the lessons of this journey - foster innovation, empathy, and knowledge sharing. Together, we can unlock potential, regardless of background.

UX Training & Mentorship

8 months, as part of my non-profit socialpreneur activities, I've been providing UX coaching to 10 rural graduates working as goat herders, masons, and electricians. Additionally, I've been mentoring those from prestigious design colleges like IIT and NID in urban areas.

Design Thinking for School HM's and Teachers

Ignited a flame of innovation in two rural government schools, coaching design thinking for headmasters and teachers. 

Design Thinking Seeds Sown for 500+ Young Minds to a journey of creativity, problem-solving, and tackling local challenges and future leadership skills.

Government School Design Thinking

For 3 government school, I have conducted Design Thinking workshops near #Tenkasi/ #Courtallam to enhance rural children's education. Engaged 130+ students from 17 villages and 3 government schools. Focused on identifying problems and crafting solutions for a more impactful learning experience.

Design Festival Conducted with 15 Villages

I organized a design festival for rural government school students, parents, and teachers, with 450+ participants. Students submitted 160+ designs and conducted a 1 KM design yatra. We had engaging design games, receiving 200+ T-shirt designs on the spot. Certificates, prizes, and food were provided, fostering creativity, innovation, and collaboration in the community.

Workshop for Product Cross-functional Team

Nearly 30 attendees product manager, stakeholders, developers, quality assurance, user experience designers, human resource, sales and marketing management joined from Trimble Pune and Mumbai office. 

 

Attendants discovered how Design can be applied to identify the problems, create innovative solutions for those problems and align multi disciplinary team around the real needs and help team to continuously to understand and deliver for their next competitive advantage and effective leadership.

  • They played creativity games and activities in groups.
     

  • Through practical approach, learned design thinking process by redesign Monday experience exercise and designed 25 innovative solutions in one and a half hours.
     

  • Listened to thought provoking insights about innovation, and understood about design thinking process via example with questions and answers.
     

  • 5 innovative solutions designed in 3 hours using design thinking approach by all attendees for TMSI product and had first hand feedback from TMSI product stakeholders.
     

They walked away energised and enthusiastic about solving their problems at work and at home.

Workshop for HR & Business Stakeholders

A hall packed with splendid attendees, a mix of HR Director, HR Manager, HR, Engineer Manager, Analytics Manager, Finance Manager, Business Analyst, Technical Lead, and UX Designer. The one day of magic and am call it "Trimble Design Day".

 

I had a great time to share knowledge and train awesome folks who turned up that day with full of enthusiasm and eagerness to learn "Design". Key takeaways for all participants and everyone interested to contribute to the innovation process to improve India Trimble employees engagement:

  • Participants designed more than 16 ideas and designed innovative solutions for HR Information Technology and Talent Management challenges.
     

  • Deep empathy of employees and being human-centred at the core of our innovation process.
     

  • Design Thinking is an optimistic idea of life, stop blaming and start taking responsibility for our own actions.
